What We're Doing

We will establish, at Lodge Pole, on the Fort Belknap Reservation in  Montana, a national Native American Veteran's center which will provide advocacy for Native American veterans in the areas of Veteran's Benefits and Health Care, as well as encouragement and resources for the development of entrepreneurial skills.

Negotiations are ongoing to provide housing within the Center for a Veterans Health Administration mini-clinic as an onnovative pilot outreach to this very rural population of veterans ans as a logical extension of the Memorandum of Understanding currently in force between IHS and VHA.

We have strong verbal support from a variety of veteran's organizations and governmental entities and particularly strong support from Vietnam Veterans of Amercia (already substantially involved in the area of Native American veterans' issues),  which has agreed to serve as the accreditation training sponsor.
